4/8-IT WASN'T THAT THE WAR TOOK BRITAIN TOO FAR DOWN. IT WAS THAT THE POST-WAR TOOK BRITAIN TOO FAR LEFT!

Some call it the "take-home".  Others call it the "take-away".  Same thing.  It means what you learned and retained from the class, the lecture, the video, etc.  Barry, as avid a scholar of World War II and beyond as he can arrange to get, is grateful to Charles Krauthammer of Fox News (again!) for pointing something out on this day the world lost former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher that Barry always had wrong.  Barry always assumed Britain declined after that war because Britain had stood alone against Nazi might and borne the brutal brunt of the air blitz and was exhausted in victory.  Wrong!  Britain declined because of British socialism, not military exhaustion.  If that, and no other point is made, Barry will write "Mission Accomplished" on this evening's broadcast!

4/5-WELCOME TO "OPERATION: POT LUCK". BARRY PROMISES A SHOW VASTLY BETTER THAN IT SOUNDS.

He admits it smacks of fuss-budgetry, but Barry allows himself and Sara three shows a year about which he refuses to detail the guest, the topic, theagenda on grounds that -- even though Barry knows the show will BE riveting -- he's quite aware a description of the show will not SOUND riveting.  In fact, it would sound dull and off-putting.  Today is one-of-those-days!  Be charitable.  Be courageous.  Take a chance and give Sara and Barry a chance.

4/4-THE AMAC HAS AS MANY LETTERS ARE THE AARP. NOW THEY'RE FIGHTING FOR AS MANY SENIOR CITIZEN MEMBERS!

Whenever somebody got mad at the telephone company back in the AT&T monopoly days you could be sure a wise-guy would pipe up and say, "Go start your own phone company!"  It may sound like equivalent folly to say "Go start your own AARP!" to a complainer of that organization's behavior, but that's exactly what DAN WEBER has done.  America now has a conservative organization out there defending the rights of seniors; namely Weber's AMAC (Association of Mature American Citizens) focusing, at the moment, largely against Obamacare while also fighting for better deals across the board for senior Americans.  Weber explains what it's like being a David in the ring with a Goliath like the AARP as he visits with Sara and Barry this evening.

4/3- LISTEN UP! NOT KNOWING WHAT AN "EMP" ATTACK IS WON'T PROTECT YOU FROM ONE IF NORTH KOREA LAUNCHES ONE.

When the news-guys tell us "Washington is taking North Korea's threats seriously." they know Washington is a large cluster of buildings that can't speak, read or weigh policy.  Of the U. S. Government officials in Washington who are taking Pyongyang seriously, the group leader may well be F.
