Ask any student of World War II why lives were SAVED by using the A-bomb against Hiroshima and Nagasaki and you'll likely get the answer that Japan's quick surrender spared America and the Allies from invading the home islands of Japan, which would have cost hundreds of thousands of lives of Japanese and American troops plus Japanese civilians.  True enough, but there's another reason, widely unknown, that explains how MILLIONS of lives -- not merely thousand -- were saved by the dropping of the bombs.  Professor, historian, folklorist ROBERT RODRIGUEZ reveal that reason as Rodriguez visits with Sara and Barry this evening.

8/7-AT LEAST IN AMERICA, "NON-PEOPLE" LIKE FRITZ MEYER CAN BECOME PEOPLE AGAIN!

In July of 1996 a TWA flight bound from JFK to Paris exploded a few minutes after take-off, killing all aboard and bringing about an investigation that concluded vapors in some of the tanks and pipes caused the catastrophe.  Almost nobody inside aviation believed it, but the FBI stamped "Mission Accomplished" on their final report.  A documentary recently released included dozens of eye-witnesses who testified they saw "something fiery" go from the surface into the air just before the explosion.  The most convincing eye-witness, however, was an Air Force National Guard major named Fritz Meyer.  Barry saw a piece on ABC News with Maj. Meyer, but when he tried to locate him the next day for an interview, it turns out THERE WAS NO SUCH PERSON.  Vet Navy pilot HANS TRUPP, illuminates the mystery of why his  long-time friend Fritz Meyer became a "non-person" as he visits with Sara and Barry this evening.

8/2-YOU DON'T REALLY HAVE TO UNDERSTAND ARABIC TO UNDERSTAND THOSE PRISONERS. WHAT THEY'RE SAYING IS, "HOW IN THE WORLD DID THE AMERICANS KNOW WE WERE COMING?

Okay, so America didn't start at or near the top of international espionage.  Around the time of World War I someone suggested that America should develop at least some kind of intelligence service, since the rest of the world did had them and America had absolutely nothing of the kind.  America's Secretary of War Henry Stimson recoiled in shock, angrily replying, "Gentlemen do not read other people's mail!"  Does this mean we must remain deliberately and aggressively at the bottom?  The lead media story at the moment is the closure of our embassies and consulates in almost two dozen Islamic countries this weekend because intelligence tells us Al-Qaeda is planning a huge attack or series of attacks.  Have our leaders never seen a B-movie western?  What a chance to deck the halls with well-armed Marines, repel the attacks, interrogate the prisoners and never, ever let THEM know that WE knew or how!  Former New York Congressman JOHN LeBOUTILLIER ministers to the illness of our military intelligence as he visits with Sara and Barry this evenng.

8/1-MEET THE WOMAN THE SO-CALLED 25 MOST IMPORTANT GOP WOMEN THEMSELVES WOULD L NAME AS THE MOST IMPORTANT!

A major right-of-center news-site wasted a heap of cyber-space today listing the "25 Most Important Women in the GOP".  They meant well.  There were a lot of recognizable names on that list, but we could have written "Mission Accomplished" on the journalistic project with a single entry under the heading, "The Most Important Right-of-Center" Woman in America followed by the lone name PHYLLIS SCHLAFLY, who spearheaded the effort to bring down the Equal Rights Amendment in the 1970s and around whom the forces of conservatism of BOTH genders have rallied before half of those on that other roll-call were even born.  Ms. Schlafly visits with Sara and Barry this evening.
