6/2-RINGSIDE ISN’T CLOSE ENOUGH FOR WAR CORRESPONDENTS LIKE JEFF HARMON. YOU’LL FIND HIM IN MIDFIELD, NOT THE PRESS BOX

JEFF HARMON is an award-winning film-maker and foreign correspondent with a “picaresque” habit of putting down a camera and picking up a rifle; quit covering a story and becoming part of it.  He covered the Russian-Afghan war from both sides, actually fighting the Russians at times.  His dangerous antics so angered governments and rebel groups that he survived three separate attempts to assassinate him.  Harmon covered the murderous regime of Idi Amin in Uganda and he’s “chased fire engines” all across Africa, Asia and Latin America.  Harmon unveils his forthcoming book, “Picaro”, as he visits with Sara and Barry this evening.
