Barry
was ruminating about other instances in history when children played as large a
role as they’re now playing along America’s southern border. All of a
sudden he remembered a story from World War II that he left untouched for
twenty-five years because – he simply didn’t believe it. A few years ago
when Barry was asked to address survivors of the “unknown Holocaust” – Serbs
imprisoned in the Croatian Nazi concentration camp of Jasenovac in what was
then Yugoslavia, he met a dozen veterans of that “impossible” bit of history
which he shares with Sara and the listeners. Tune in to hear of the Great
Diaper Rebellion.
