Barry
is delighted to welcome to the microphones a new exemplar of what he calls
“Farber’s Law”; namely that a candidate brand new to politics who’s known for
one issue only and spends almost no money and yet beats out a crowded field of
free-spending professionals is a living warning that his issue has inordinate
power. Opponents would do well to get out of its way. CHAPLAIN
GORDON KLINGENSCHMITT is the Navy chaplain known for giving up all his
pensions and perks and demanding he be brought before a court martial because
he refused to leave off “In Jesus’ name” after each prayer. If you plan
to join those kicking God around, Chaplain Klingenschmitt may either inspire
you – or scare you – into rethinking that position. The Chaplin visits with
Sara and Barry this evening.
