7/7- GET SMART, AMERICA. GUN CONTROL IS IMPOSSIBLE. INSTEAD, MAKE THE VICTIM LESS VULNERABLE BY ARMING HIM.

TED KAVANAU didn’t invent his sympathy for the private citizen who arms himself in self-defense and thereupon pulls a gun and shoots a robber dead.  Ted, adoringly called “America’s Celebrity TV News Producer” by TV insiders, has felt that way all his adult life.  He’s likewise felt contempt for media that – sometimes blatantly – refuse to cover stories involving the successful use of firearms in self-defense.  Ted issues a daily menu of news stories by email to about seventy people on what’s called “The Ted Network” or “Ted’s List” and that story  zinged close to home this week when two TV journalists who’s been hired by Ted when Ted ran CNN were held at gun-point by a robber in a New Mexico motel. While the robber was busy jamming the couple’s valuables into a valise, LYNN RUSSELL slipped their handgun to her husband Chuck de Garo.  In the ensuing shoot-out the predator was shot dead and Chuck was seriously wounded.  Kavanau and Russell visit with Sara and Barry this evening, as well as Chuck if he feels strong enough to speak.
