America's "celebrity TV news producer", TED KAVANAU achieved the bulk of his fame with Channel 5 in New York. Anyone who knows Ted, and there are many, know these two things about him. He's got the most formidable sense of "honor" in the industry. When Barry was president of the Russian Language Club and Ted needed a little Russian to help handle an assignment (the first of three!) to come show former Communist dictatorships how to run a TV news operation in a free country, Ted wouldn't even let Barry take care of his dinner ($9!). The other Ted-characteristic is, he hates media bias. Sara and Barry have successfully prevailed upon Ted to step out of retirement and visit them this evening to trigger the flame-thrower of his indignation upon the mountain of media bias of today.
