12/12-ARE THERE ANY ISRAELIS, RABBI, WHO DON'T BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?

Teachers have been known to teach in hair salons and massage parlors after hours, abandoned aircraft carriers. apartment basements and even outdoors sitting cross-legged on the lawn. RABBI EPHRAIM SPRECHER teaches in KING DAVID'S TOMB ON MOUNT ZION just outside the old city of Jerusalem. There weren't many cheerful Czechs in 1939 just before the Nazi takeover and there weren't many cheerful Latvians, Lithuanians and Estonians a year later just before the Communist takeover. First question for Rabbi Sprecher as he visits with Sara and Barry this evening is, "Okay, Rabbi; it's Chanukah; but still and all; how can any resident of Israel be so cheerful?"
