The Koran may get all the attention, but perhaps the most
fascinating religious text of all is the Jewish Talmud, a collection of Jewish
wisdom valued by all mankind over the ages.
Talmudic scholar D. B. Ganz illustrates how this ancient repository of wisdom is
as up-to-date as tomorrow morning's headlines and can answer contemporary
problems as perplexing as illegal aliens, government budgets, abortion -- and
how we ought to feel about basketball stars publicly proclaiming their
