7-3-WHY SHOULD GOD BLESS AMERICA? NOT BECAUSE AMERICA IS FREE, BUT BECAUSE NO OTHER COUNTRY HAS DONE AS MUCH TO SPREAD FREEDOM AS THIS ALREADY AMPLY-BLESSED UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

There’s something unsettling about a “good old Fourth of July beach day and barbecue with a tank of beer and joy at being an American when children are piling up on along our southern border, Ukraine and Russia teeter on the brink of war and, most of all, a miscalculation on the ability of a few hundred American “boots” to hold Baghdad could result in an American tragedy too awful to render into print!  Still, we’re free, and so are millions of others in the world because America is free.  Happy Fourth!  Sara and Barry are spending the holiday alone.
