3/23 - Tom Lindsay, President, Shimer College

Tom Lindsay, President, Shimer College, The Great Books College of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois.  Tom Lindsay, is facing ideological opposition from faculty and students.  At this unique college, which calls itself "the 'Great Books' school of Chicago," a struggle over academic authority has been raging recently, rife with 1960s-style undertones.

Director, We the People Initiative, National Endowment for the Humanities: charged with providing national leadership and support for the program's ongoing efforts to increase Americans' understanding of our nation's history, culture, ideals, and principles.
