Sometimes bad jokes can make good points. The young Israeli visiting Paris sees a pit bull attacking a little girl and runs over and rescues the girl. Unfortunately the dog died. A group of journalists having lunch at a sidewalk café witnessed everything and ran over and said to the Israeli, “That was a wonderful deed. Our headline tomorrow will say, ‘Courageous Parisian rescues endangered girl from wild dog.’ “I’m not a Parisian,” said the Israeli. “Well, the headline will read, ‘Courageous Frenchman rescues girl from wild dog.’” “I’m not a Frenchman,” said the Israeli. “Oh, well,” said the journalist, “The headline will read ‘Courageous European rescues girl from wild dog.” “But I’m not European,” pleaded the Israeli. “Well, what are you?” asked the journalist. “I’m Israeli,” he responded. “Oh,” said the journalist. “In that case our headline will read, ‘Wild Israeli kills family pet!” Believe it or not, something chillingly similar actually just occurred, and the retired journalist who adoring fans call “America’s celebrity TV news producer,” TED KAVANAU who put CNN on the air for Ted Turner visits with Sara and Barry to protest the most poisonous bias ever seen in American print, outside of jokes!
