CHRISTINA TOBIN took the profits of her own jewelry business and established the Free-and-Equal Elections Foundation to inspire young Americans to run for office and, while they’re at it, make sure all votes are fairly counted and everything that’s counted is legally a vote. Tobin’s theory is that our democracy can best be served and best be saved by, in effect, steam-cleaning all the gunk out of the engine and making sure the dreams of the Founders wins over the schemes of the vote-thieves.
