5/29-A TASTE OF WILEY’S STYLE. THE COLLEGE HIPPIES CAME ON RADIO TO PROTEST THE CRUELTY OF NAPALM AS A WEAPON. WILEY SAID, “YOU YOUNG ONES ARE RIGHT. NAPALM IS A TERRIBLE WEAPON. WHAT WEAPONS WOULD YOU ALL SUGGEST WE AND OUR ALLIES USE TO DEFEND SOUTH VIETNAM AGAINST COMMUNIST AGGRESSION?” THE ENSUING SILENCE WAS NOT SPONSORED BY REMINGTON NOISELESS TYPEWRITERS.

One of the most remarkable “Voices of America” is World War II vet CHARLES WILEY who, despite his advanced age makes hundreds of speeches for America every year.  His “armored logic” stuns America-haters into silence.  Once the head of the American Communist Party gathered his papers and left the radio studio without a word when he realized Wiley knew too much for the comfort of his new book, a Communist revisionist history of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.  Wiley and Barry celebrate their half-century anniversary of friendship and standing up to enemies of America on radio, TV and street rallies as Wiley visits with Sara and Barry this evening.

5/28-HOW DID GHOST STORIES AND THE SUPERNATURAL GAIN RESPECT? TOO MANY RESPECTABLE PEOPLE PILED UP TOO MANY SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCES.

The American military may not have felt more Jewish, but they sure must have felt somewhat “Israeli” over the past weekend when Special Forces caught ISIS completely by surprise in a raid that eliminated four top leaders, captured the wife of the major leader, ISIS’s main financial executive, liberated a Yazidi Christian woman serving as a slave and made off with tons of crucial intelligence data.  There were no American casualties.  New York Times best-selling author ERIC BLEHM visits with Sara and Barry this evening to spotlight another incredible rescue saga from the Vietnam War that Americans haven’t even known about until now.

On setbacks, insults and humiliations, President Obama is merely silent.  (Examples:  Leaders of America’s allies boycott America’s attempt to rally them at Camp David.  A top Saudi leader laments that America was our major ally for fifty years.  Notice he said “WAS”,not “is”!)  In the face of major defeats, he lies.  (“I don’t think we’re losing to ISIS!)  Former New York Congressman JOHN LeBOUTILLIER helps Barry explore the idea of a “Presidential Truth Squad” telling the truth about matters as the Presidents continues to mislead the nation. Millions of whacky statements have been issued by our leaders leading to hundreds of millions of responses by offended members of the public.  Barry thinks he’s finally found the whackiest statement that elicited the most profoundly excellent and eloquent response.  President Obama let fly the flippant comment that those who are doing well have “drawn life’s winning lottery ticket”.  In other words study, work, self-discipline, imagination, sacrifice and the other virtues count for naught.  Successful folks just drew the right lottery ticket; right?  PAUL HOLLRAH twice served on the Electoral College.  As a dirt-poor farm boy in Missouri he learned to plow a straight furrow and go to the end of the row.  Hollrah visits with Sara and Barry this evening to offer key points of his reply to the president.

5/21-WHAT DO WE HAVE TO DO TO GET A LEADER LIKE CHURCHILL WHO TOLD HIS PEOPLE, “THE NEWS FROM FRANCE TONIGHT IS VERY BAAAAAD!”?

President Obama in yet one more massive insult to his nation’s intelligence tries to explain that; oh,no.  Ramadi’s fall to the forces of ISIS wasn’t really a set-back because the Iraqi Army troops they routed weren’t the ones we’d trained!  Oh, Boy; those ISIS guys better be some glad THAT Iraqi Army was busy somewhere else because they’d have surely been put to rout by the Iraqis we AMERICANS trained!  Author-historian GARY JAMES SUMNER tries to help Barry remember how President Roosevelt explained the Japanese destruction of America’s Pacific fleet at Pearl Harbor, the Japanese conquest of Guam and the Philippines, why the Germans quickly reconquered four thousand square miles from Americans in and around Kasserine Pass in North Africa and other American military set-backs during World War II.  Sumner, who’s out now with a fiction book about that war, “From Fear to Freedom”, visits with Sara and Barry this evening.
