10/31-“WHERE IS THE WAVE?’ THEY ASK. “WHERE IS THAT GREAT REPUBLICAN WAVE?” THAT’S THE DIALECT OF DEMOCRATIC DESPERATION. IT’S THE VERBAL EQUIVALENT OF THE BAD GUYS TRYING TO SHOOT OUT OF THE REAR WINDOW INTO THE TIRES OF THE ONCOMING SHERIFF.

“What do you think about the World Series?” was the rather unsensational question put to the dinner  party guest.  The rather unsensational guest snorted, “I don’t follow the World Series!”  A totally sensational other guest piped up and said, “You’ve got the right not to be interested in baseball, but who do you think you are to say ‘I don’t follow the World Series!  You owe it to the commonweal to be interested in the World Series, the Superbowl, the Davis Cup – and the Midterm Elections!”  Teacher-writer-scientist-inventor ADRIAN VANCE can talk about it all, but this time, the Elections will likely dominate!

10/30- NOT MANY EXPERTS COULD EXPLAIN WHY MIDEAST CHAOS ACTUALLY GIVES ISRAEL A BREATHER. RYAN MAURO IN ONE OF THEM.

The closest America has to an authentic security “prodigy” is RYAN MAURO, who landed his first serious job in national security at the age of sixteen!  In any normal administration, the foul language used by an “anonymous” administration spokesperson” would have towering implications well worth discussing far beyond the time span of a normal talk show.  With this administration, it may just be incompetence, but Mauro visits with Sara and Barry this evening to deal with the branding of Israeli Prime Minister as a “chickenBLEEP”, ISIS and beyond!

10/29-SHOULD LYING AND MISLEADING ATTACK ADS BE ALLOWED ON TV, AND WHO WOULD DECIDE WHAT PASSES?

America is a decent country, but the American political attack ad is one of the lowest forms to political life anywhere,  MICHAEL FLYNN details the decay in American political dialogue in his new book, “Battle of the Political Attack Ads: Democratic and GOP Super Pacs Go At It As Never Before”.  Flynn visits with Sara and Barry this evening with outrageous examples.

10/28-RON IRWIN IS WINNER AND STILL CHAMPION OVER HEART FAILURE, DIABETES, OBESITY, EVEN DEATH ITSELF. MEET HIM NOW THAT HE’S (NO KIDDING!) COME BACK TO LIFE!

Sure, we’ll continue to keep the cross-hairs of our coverage fixated on Ebola, ISIS, the IRS and all the headlines as well as the Midterm Elections one week from today.  But when somebody like RON IRWIN comes around – somebody who “died”, came back and fought heart failure, diabetes, obesity and cancer AND BEAT THEM ALL – when somebody like that comes along, you can be sure we’ll swing our microphones his way, too.  Irwin, whose book is “Live, Die, Live Again”, visits with Sara and Barry this evening.

10/27-THE SCANDAL THAT’S MADE EVERY UNC ATHLETE FEEL LIKE AN IRREDEEMABLE LOSER.

Barry was a jock in college.  He was president of the “Monogram Club”, the club for all students who’d earned a letter in any sport.  The year after Barry’s term as president expired, FRANK HOOPER, track star, became president of the Monogram Club.  Barry and Frank reconnected decades later in New York and spent quality lunch time talking about the good old days and the PROUD old days of their college athletic program.  The college was the University of North Carolina which was just flattened by what’s been called the biggest scandal ever to hit any American university.  It seems, in order to make sure the athletes made good enough grades to continue playing sports, THEY STAGED FAKE CLASSES THAT DIDN’T EXIST WHERE GOOD GRADES WERE HANDED OUT TO ALL!  The scandal lasted for eighteen years.  Frank comes to visit Sara and Barry this evening to explain how such a monumental scandal could destroy the reputation of such a great university.

10/24-TRUE, THE IRAQI MEN WHO WERE SUPPOSED TO DEFEND IRAQ AGAINST ISIS DROPPED THEIR GUNS AND RAN. THE KURDISH WOMEN WERE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT STORY!

Legends are already streaming out of the Middle East, true legends dealing with ferocious Kurdish women who are terrorizing hordes of murderers as they themselves try to terrorize their own victims.  REGIS GILES visits with Sara and Barry this evening to spotlight the  most famous of these Kurdish warriors.

10/23-CHRISTIANS HAVE BEEN THERE FOR US, REGARDLESS OF WHO “US” HAPPENS TO BE. WHY ARE WE NOT THERE NOW FOR THEM?

Who could have ever thought that the hated minority hiding, fighting and running for their lives would be – CHRISTIANS?  Over the years, Christians have sprung to the defense of every other threatened minority in every crisis on earth.  And now that they’re the ones targeted for slaughter, nobody comes to their defense, NOT EVEN OTHER CHRISTIANS!  Well, almost nobody.  KEITH DAVIES spearheads an effort to save the lives of Christians threatened by ISIS and other Islamic extremists.  Davies visits with Sara and Barry this evening to report on the need, the effort and some of the strange, unexpected head-winds he and his allies have to face.
