10/31-“WHERE IS THE WAVE?’ THEY ASK. “WHERE IS THAT GREAT REPUBLICAN WAVE?” THAT’S THE DIALECT OF DEMOCRATIC DESPERATION. IT’S THE VERBAL EQUIVALENT OF THE BAD GUYS TRYING TO SHOOT OUT OF THE REAR WINDOW INTO THE TIRES OF THE ONCOMING SHERIFF.

“What do you think about the World Series?” was the rather unsensational question put to the dinner  party guest.  The rather unsensational guest snorted, “I don’t follow the World Series!”  A totally sensational other guest piped up and said, “You’ve got the right not to be interested in baseball, but who do you think you are to say ‘I don’t follow the World Series!  You owe it to the commonweal to be interested in the World Series, the Superbowl, the Davis Cup – and the Midterm Elections!”  Teacher-writer-scientist-inventor ADRIAN VANCE can talk about it all, but this time, the Elections will likely dominate!
