MATT BARBER is a columnist, highly conservative, faculty
member of Liberty University and an undefeated heavyweight boxer. Answering an interviewer who once asked him
why he gave up such a successful career in the ring, Barber replied, "I
was afraid one of those blows I didn't see coming might turn me into a
