PHYLLIS CHESLER doesn’t rely for her descriptions of Islamic treatment of women  on research papers or the collected experience of others.  Very early in life this Jewish girl from Brookly fell in love and became “one of the wives” of a a prominent Afghan.  The entire adventure wound up between covers of her book; “An American Bride in Kabul: A Memoir”  Phyllis Chesler visits with Sara and Barry this evening.
