If
you were a TV news producer, how’d you like to have this as a resume
item? After the Soviet Union collapsed, three countries that were
dictatorships called him and said, “We don’t know what you charge, but no
matter; get over here and teach us how to run a legitimate television operation
in a democracy. He’s TED KAVANAU and richly deserves his
industry-nick-name of “America’s celebrity TV news producer!” One of
those countries was Ukraine and Ted put Barry in touch with his old friends who
were, of course, on the barricades in Kiev these past few days. Kavanau
visits with Sara and Barry this evening.
