5/1-WHEN BRAZIL’S PRESIDENT GOT ANGRY AT COUNTESS LOVATELLI HE CALLED HER A “NAUGHTY GIRL” -- AND DOUBLED HER RATINGS.

COUNTESS BIANCA LOVATELLI is every bit as exciting and glamorous as her name.  Born in Italy, Bianca was whisked away to America and Brazil by her English mother just in time to avoid World War II.  There followed a life through which passed many of the international celebrities, royalty and aristocracy of the world; all of whom entertained,were entertained by, married to or made famous by the Countess when she became TV hostess herself of a variety show that introduced the “Bossa Nova” to the world.  Countess Lovatelli had a Smith & Wesson pistol and had to use it twice; one bad guy slightly injured, another scared when the bullet kicked up some dirt near his feet and he quit his wrong-doing.  All this and much more of Countess Lovatelli’s pyrotechnic life is jammed into her new book, “The Maverick Contessa”.  This remarkable woman visits with Sara and Barry this evening.
